Aromas and colourings

In early 20th century Gothenburg, there were more than 200 bakeries, most of them small, local home bakeries. In this environment, Charles Wiktor Hagelberg saw business opportunities. In 1908, when Charles Wiktor was 19 years old, he started a company in his mother’s kitchen to manufacture and sell “fruit ethers” not only to the bakeries but also to the many ice cream and candy producers in town.

We at Credin do our best to take good care of and develop the heritage after Charles Wiktor Hagelberg. We still produce and market food colours and flavours under the Hagelberg’s brand.
